Advanced caching for global performance
Ecommerce websites often struggle with slow load times, especially for international visitors. To solve this, I partnered with Cloudflare to enable global content caching and traffic distribution. Pages are served from the nearest location to each visitor, resulting in near-instant load times worldwide. I also implemented browser caching so returning users can access the site immediately without sending new requests to the server.
Automated image optimisation
Managing product images can become time-consuming when manual compression is required. I built an automated image optimisation system that processes images during upload. With a single click, images are queued, compressed on a remote server, and replaced automatically. This removes ongoing admin overhead while reducing storage usage and improving page speed.
Comprehensive analytics tracking
I implemented full analytics coverage across the website. Key actions such as wishlist additions, cart additions, cart abandonment, and form submissions are all tracked. This gives May Journey clear visibility into customer behaviour and conversion performance.
